PREVENTION CASTS BASED DISCRIMINATION CELL

As per order of the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development Department of Higher Education , University Grants Commission, New Delhi and Tamilnadu Teacher Education University Chennai regarding prevention of caste based discrimination in higher educational institutions Prevention of Caste based Discrimination Cell has formed in our Dr.Vellasamy Nadar College of Education, Thanjavur on 20.09.2016.

The Students/Teachers/Non Teaching Staff can register their complaints against case based discrimination in the institution at the administrative office. A complaint register is available to register their complaints.

Dr.Vellasamy Nadar College of Education, Thanjavur was formed, PREVENTION OF CASTE BASED DISCRIMINATION CELL and the office Bearers and members of the cell is detailed as given below

The Students,Teachers and non-Teaching staff can avail this facility

1. To Decide from any act of discrimination against SC/ST students /teachers/non-teaching staffs on grounds of their social orgin.
2. The college was developed a page on their website ( www.vsamy.com) for loading such complaints of caste discrimination by SC/ST students and also place a compalint register, in the register of administrative office for the purpose.
3. The members of the cell will be monitoring every day and will confirm that no official / faculty members indulge in any discriminiation against any community of category of students.

The above said circular was circulated to college teaching and non-teaching staff. The same was displayed in the notice board of college and also the same was announced in the morning prayer session of college assembly.
